    Prof. Niek van Dijk


    Professor Niek van Dijk is a world leading authority for arthroscopy and surgery of the ankle. Over the years he has developed new techniques for treatments of ankle, hindfoot and achilles tendon disorders. His operative techniques have spread throughout the world and have benefited (leading) athletes. Niek van Dijk was head of the Orthopaedic Department of the Amsterdam University Hospital and founder of the Orthopedic Research Center Amsterdam and the Amsterdam Foot & Ankle School. Currently he is working in the FIFA Medical Centres of Excellence in Madrid, Porto and Pisa. For many years he was president of leading national and international organizations in the field of sports traumatology and surgery of the ankle. He is honorary member of several international societies and associations. He was the tutor of 55 PhD-students. His great interest in teaching stimulated him to develop the free access website On Ankleplatform his techniques are freely available for surgeons. Niek van Dijk published over 375 scientific indexed publications, wrote over 100 book chapters and was editor of several books. He is chief editor of JISAKOS, the Journal of ISAKOS. His contributions to orthopedic surgery are numerous, starting with his innovating concepts on osteochondral defects of the talus and development of several minimal invasive techniques.



    Dr. Rajesh Simon


    Dr.Rajesh Simon is a Senior Consultant Foot and Ankle Surgeon based at VPS Lakeshore Hospital and Aster Med city Kochi, Kerala.

    His special interest includes Foot and ankle, Trauma and Arthroscopy. He has pioneered as exclusive Foot and Ankle Surgery in Kerala. He has been Invited faculty in various national and International meetings.

    He is also a AO faculty and has been Chairman of various courses of AO in the past.

    Dr Rajesh Simon is presently the President of the Indian Foot and Ankle Society and Executive member of Asian Federation of Foot and Ankle Society.
